Most people have so many questions when they first come to yoga that they don’t know where to begin. Here are some of the most common questions and answers.
If your question isn’t answered here, please contact me on e-mail hello@katekinnishyoga.com. You have heard it before, but really, there’s no such thing as a silly question. You want to feel as comfortable as possible when you come to a practice, so please ask.

Yoga is Sanskrit word that means “to yoke” or “to unite”. Yoga achieves total health, mental and physical a means to unite the body, mind and spirit.
can beginners attend classes at kate kinnish yoga?
Absolutely, we all start somewhere contact Kate for any details on which class.
I am not flexible is yoga for me?
One of the lovely things about yoga is we all have the same struggles and worries. People come to yoga with different levels of experience, but there is room for everyone. We are ALL learning.
Do I need to bring anything?
Although Kate has lots of mats you can use if you are going to continue your practice it might be worth investing in one. Also having your own mat means it’s much more likely you will unroll it at home. You might also want to bring some water.
ok, so I am ready to take my first class, what should I expect?
Please arrive at the studio about 10 minutes before the class time. You will need to sign a registration form and disclaimer. Arriving early will also give you the time to ask any questions.
What should I wear?
Something comfortable to move in you will get warm but you will need something warm for relaxation.
do I need to book?
Yes, please just so we know we have enough room in class, all classes are small groups so if you don’t book, we don’t want you to have a wasted journey.
