What others say about my classes

“I really love Kate’s yoga classes!  I have always been nervous to go along to a yoga class, but her style is so calm, and her classes can be challenging or chilled, but she always gives you the option for either.  The vinyasa flow playlist is awesome and I always come away with a smile and ready to start my day on the right footing” - Ben

“I had my first class with Kate last week, I had a private class as I haven’t been to a yoga class for a while so wanted some direction before attending a group class.  Kate’s class was down to earth and welcoming, challenging but with lots of options.  We laughed and giggled throughout a really lovely environment and setting, I can’t recommend her highly enough." - Rachel S

“Kate’s class is an essential part of my week, classes are challenging and the restore classes are fabulous, the svasana…you need this in your life.  Kate smiles, giggles, always the voice of calm so as well as feeling stronger its tons of fun.  Perfect yoga, perfect setting" - Natasha H

“Kate has been teaching me yoga for several years, and is brilliant at tailoring a class to the needs of the group.  Kate offers challenges to those in the group who are seeking to go a little deeper with their practice but she is also excellent at tuning in if you feel in need of a more restorative practice.  No two classes are the same as she meshes into your practice new and interesting ways of flowing from one posture to the next" - Abigail B

“Kate has a lovely, calm manner that makes each yoga class a pleasure.  Being a bit of a yoga novice, she is patient and understanding and tailors her class to your individual needs.  I cannot recommend her highly enough." - Flossy

“Kate is an excellent yoga instructor with a very calm presence.  Her sessions flow so beautifully and will leave you feeling relaxed and re-energised, I would hugely recommend her to anyone” - Charlotte R

Questions I get asked (a lot)

Most people have so many questions when they first come to yoga that they don’t know where to begin.  Here are some of the most common questions and answers.

If your question isn’t answered here, please contact me on e-mail hello@katekinnishyoga.com.  You have heard it before, but really, there’s no such thing as a silly question.  You want to feel as comfortable as possible when you come to a practice, so please ask.

what does “yoga” mean?

Yoga is Sanskrit word that means “to yoke” or “to unite”.  Yoga achieves total health, mental and physical a means to unite the body, mind and spirit.

can beginners attend classes at kate kinnish yoga?

Absolutely, we all start somewhere contact Kate for any details on which class.

I am not flexible is yoga for me?

One of the lovely things about yoga is we all have the same struggles and worries. People come to yoga with different levels of experience, but there is room for everyone.  We are ALL learning.

Do I need to bring anything?

Although Kate has lots of mats you can use if you are going to continue your practice it might be worth investing in one.  Also having your own mat means it’s much more likely you will unroll it at home.  You might also want to bring some water.

ok, so I am ready to take my first class, what should I expect?

Please arrive at the studio about 10 minutes before the class time.  You will need to sign a registration form and disclaimer.  Arriving early will also give you the time to ask any questions.

What should I wear?

Something comfortable to move in you will get warm but you will need something warm for relaxation.

do I need to book?

Yes, please just so we know we have enough room in class, all classes are small groups so if you don’t book, we don’t want you to have a wasted journey.
